“MENGENE” is a rock band named after the surnames of two cousins who founded it.

It has a style that is dominated by alternative/modern rock sound and is influenced by ethnic music.

The founders of the band are actor-director Barış Atay and musician Nihat Mugil. “MENGENE” emerged when the two cousins, who had gained great admiration in their respective fields, decided to take their music collaborations to a professional platform. Mengene will meet the audience with their new interpretations of traditional songs and their own compositions.
